Fil Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 30, 2026
Argmax, Inc. (“Argmax,” “we,” “our,” and/or “us”) values the privacy of individuals who use the Fil mobile application (“Fil”) and related website at https://fil.app (collectively, our “Services”). This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains how we collect, use, and disclose information from users of our Services (“Users”). By using our Services, you agree to the collection, use, disclosure, and procedures this Privacy Policy describes. Beyond the Privacy Policy, your use of our Services is also subject to our Terms of Service https://fil.app/tos.
Privacy Prelude
We believe that privacy is a fundamental human right, so Fil is designed to minimize the collection and use of your data and use on-device processing when possible. Read on for details on how we put this principle into practice.
Information We Do Not Collect
Fil is an AI-powered app designed to help you remember what you said and what you heard in a privacy-focused way. Fil works by capturing audio of those conversations and generating text transcripts from such audio.
- All audio and transcript data is stored and processed on your device. Fil does not send any audio or transcript data to us or any third parties, nor do we have any way to access your audio or transcripts in Fil.
- When you teach Fil to recognize your voice, that data stays on your device; we do not collect any voiceprints or other biometric information from you and Fil does not send that data to third parties.
- While Fil may ask for access to your calendar to provide certain features, we do not receive any information from your calendar and Fil does not send your calendar information to third parties.
- We do not require you to create an account to use Fil.
The limited information we do collect is described below.
